While The Third Threat, the riveting new novel from Barbara Blackburn, involves elite intelligence forces of the United States government in the fight against jihad in America after 9/11, it is the heroine, Jessica, who drives the novel. For it is the beliefs and actions of everyday Americans like Jessica Saunders that help keep America safe. A fast-paced, exciting read, once you start The Third Threat you will not be able to set it down.

This novel was one that was jump started from page one and kept on going full steam, unlike so many novels where you keep them on your  night stand and read a little each night before dozing off...sorry no dozing off with this book. I actually was reading a current best seller when I purchased this book and was only going to read a couple of pages to get a taste for it-well I consumed the entire book in a couple of days. Thank GOD it wasn't chocolate cake! Now where did I put that best seller, I must go back and finish it. I highly recommend "THE THIRD THREAT" its a great  read!

Thanks for bringing your novel to Delta Air Lines, I just finished reading it and WOW!!! Great read from beginning to end. It contained all the elements that I enjoy reading... suspense, thrills, action and of course romance.. Waiting impatiently for the saga, Trail of Blood.

I enjoy a book that gets right to the storyline. Barbara Blackburn accomplishes that in much the same way as it might happen to any average citizen innocently going about their daily life only to witness something for which they are totally unprepared. She skillfully introduces the characters into the fray without the flourish that often causes the reader's mind to wander. The author's knowledge of technology and surveillance procedures used in the modern era lend credibility to the hunt for the terrorist. A book one can easily recommend others to read.

This is an interesting story on what is possible with terrorism and what can happen to an ordinary American citizen. I thoroughly enjoyed the exhilarating peek behind the scenes of America's war on terrorism and found the "What Ifs" posed by the story to spark my imagination. This is a great book, and I enjoyed the read.
